St. Luke’s University Health Network is seeking a Per Diem Patient Access Representative to support outpatient and Emergency Department registration at Hazleton, PA and Mahanoy City locations.

The role involves identifying patients, collecting demographic and insurance information, and facilitating efficient check-in processes. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, familiarity with Epic, and the ability to navigate health information systems.

Qualifications

• Must provide excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Typing speed and accuracy required; general computer skills.
• Insurance knowledge and familiarity with health information systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients in hospital information system (pre-reg and post-reg) with accurate demographics, insurance, and referrals.
• Verify real-time insurance eligibility and collect point-of-service cash if applicable.
• Coordinate with SLPG practices and health network departments to ensure smooth patient experience and reduce denials.
• Greet patients and visitors; guide them through the facility and enforce policies as needed.
• Assist with Welcome Kiosk and On My Way technology and promote MyChart usage.
