Job summary

Sierra Medical Center in Reno, NV seeks a Registered Nurse for a per diem PACU role. You will provide direct patient care across the lifespan in a busy surgical environment, coordinating with surgeons and anesthesia to ensure safe recovery and timely discharge.

Responsibilities include patient assessments, pain management, vitals monitoring, and collaboration with the care team. Requires RN license, BLS, ACLS preferred, and PACU experience; per diem schedule offers flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
• Current Nevada nursing license.
• Current BLS certificate.
• ACLS recommended but not required.
• Performs in PACU/post-anesthesia care environment.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates bedside report using IMAP & SBAR.
• Head-to-toe pre-procedure assessment on all patients.
• Formulates and evaluates individualized care plans as indicated.
