Job summary

Sierra Medical Center is currently seeking a Registered Nurse to join the PACU team on a per diem basis. The role involves direct patient care for a wide age range and requires coordination with surgeons and anesthesiologists to monitor and maintain patient status in the immediate post-anesthesia period.

The ideal candidate holds a Nevada RN license, BLS, and ACLS certs, with PACU experience preferred. This position supports performance improvement activities and adherence to regulatory

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
• Current Nevada nursing license.
• Current BLS certificate.
• ACLS certification is required.
• Handle with Care training or obtained within six months.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates bedside report using IMAP & SBAR.
• Perform head to toe pre-procedure assessment on all patients and reassess post procedure.
• Ability to formulate an individualized plan of care as indicated and evaluates for effectiveness.
• Adequately assess and reassess pain. Utilizes appropriate pain management techniques.
• Educates the patient and family regarding pain management.
