Job summary

Sierra Medical Center in Nevada is seeking a per diem Registered Nurse to join the PACU team, providing direct patient care from infant to geriatric patients in a postoperative setting.

You will monitor physiological status, communicate with surgeons and anesthesiologists, maintain homeostasis, and adhere to regulatory and hospital policies. Experience in PACU and ACLS is preferred; per diem schedule offers flexibility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Current BLS certificate.
• ACLS certification required.
• Prefer one year full-time or three years part-time experience in acute care PACU.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates bedside report using IMAP & SBAR.
• Perform head-to-toe pre-procedure assessment and post-procedure reassessment.
• Develop and evaluate individualized plan of care; adjust as needed.
• Assess and reassess pain; use appropriate pain management techniques.
• Educate patient and family about pain management.
