Job summary

Sierra Medical Center in Nevada is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the PACU to provide direct patient care across the full age spectrum. The role emphasizes post-anesthesia recovery, pain management, and coordination with the surgical team to maintain safe homeostasis.

Ideal candidates will hold an RN license in Nevada, be BLS certified, and have ACLS. The unit offers comprehensive benefits and a supportive team environment focused on quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
• Current Nevada nursing license.
• Current BLS certificate.
• ACLS certification required.
• Handle with Care (or obtained within six months).

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates supportive behaviors necessary for bedside report using IMAP & SBAR.
• Perform head to toe pre-procedure assessment on all patients and reassesses post procedure as needed.
• Ability to formulate an individualized plan of care as indicated and evaluates for effectiveness.
• Adequately assess and reassess pain. Utilizes appropriate pain management techniques.
• Educates the patient and family regarding pain management
