Job summary

Sierra Medical Center in Reno, NV is seeking a Registered Nurse for the PACU to provide direct patient care across infant to geriatric populations in the post-anesthesia setting. The part-time role includes assisting with PACU equipment, participating in performance improvement activities, and ensuring regulatory and hospital policy compliance.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Current Nevada nursing license.
• Current BLS certificate.
• Prefer one year full time or three years part time experience in acute care PACU setting.
• Current ACLS required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates supportive behaviors necessary for bedside report using IMAP & SBAR.
• Perform head to toe pre-procedure assessment on all patients and reassess post procedure as needed.
• Ability to formulate an individualized plan of care as indicated and evaluates for effectiveness.
• Adequately assess and reassess pain; utilize appropriate pain management techniques.
• Educates the patient and family regarding pain management.
