Job summary

Mederi Caretenders, part of the Optum family, is hiring an Occupational Therapist Assistant - Per Diem to provide in-home occupational therapy and help patients restore their abilities. You will work under the supervision of an OT, delivering evidence-based treatment in home settings and coordinating with families and care teams.

Qualified candidates hold OTA licensure in Florida, a valid driver's license, and access to reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure in state of practice.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance or access to reliable transportation.
• Ability to function in any home situation regardless of client background.

Responsibilities

• Following state laws and supervising OT guidelines while providing home-based occupational therapy.
• Instructing patients and families in therapy techniques within the OTA scope.
• Observing and reporting patient responses to treatment to the nursing supervisor and physician.
• Educating patient, family, and care team about therapy procedures.
