Job summary

Mederi Caretenders, part of the LHC Group within the Optum family, is hiring an Occupational Therapy Assistant - Per Diem to provide home-based therapy to patients, helping restore their physical abilities.

You will work under an OT supervisor, follow the plan of care, document progress, and educate patients and families. Florida licensure is required; CPR certification is preferred or obtainable within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure in Florida.
• Current driver's license or access to reliable transportation.
• CPR certification preferred or obtainable within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws and supervise OT guidance in home settings.
• Implement treatment according to the plan of care and scope.
• Observe, record, and report patient response to treatment to nurse supervisor and physician.
• Instruct patient, family, caregiver, and health team in therapy activities.
• Adapt to home environments regardless of client demographics.
