Mederi Caretenders in Florida is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide in-home therapy per diem, helping patients restore maximum independence in daily living activities.

Responsibilities include following the supervising OT's plan, documenting progress, and educating patients and families. Must hold an OTA license in FL and have a valid driver's license; CPR preferred and NBCT certification in FL.

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure in the state of practice.
• Current driver's license and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
• Must be certified and in good standing with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy: FL.

Responsabilités

• Follow state laws governing occupational therapy in home care and the supervising OT's defined treatment.
• Follow the plan of care and aid patients in evidence-based treatment within scope.
• Observe, record, and report the patient's response to treatment to the nurse and physician.
• Instructs patient, family, caregiver, and other health-care team members in therapy areas.
• Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client.
