Job summary

Mederi Caretenders, part of the Optum family, is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide in-home OT services and restore patients to their fullest physical ability. You will work under an OT plan of care in diverse home settings, following state laws and delivering evidence-based therapy with compassionate communication.

Ideal candidates hold OTA licensure in their state, a valid driver’s license, and CPR within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• OTA licensure in the state of practice.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
• CPR certification (within 90 days of hire).

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws and the plan of care defined by the supervising OT.
• Instruct and assist patients in evidence-based OT treatments per state laws.
• Observe, document, and report patient responses to treatment to nurse and physician.
• Educate patient, family, and care team on therapy within OTA scope.
• Provide care in diverse home settings and promote respectful, non-discriminatory service.
