Job summary

UCI Health in Irvine is hiring an Operating Room Nurse to design, coordinate, and deliver patient care for operative procedures. May act as scrub or circulating nurse and serve as a role model to students and new nurses. Requires ability to float between UCI Health locations.

Position includes flexibility to work variable shifts and a comprehensive benefits package. Relevant BSN and perioperative experience strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months recent nursing experience in an acute-care perioperative environment.
• Knowledge of aseptic technique, surgical instrumentation and equipment; infection control practices.
• BSN required; CNOR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Float between UCI Health locations as needed.
• Scrub and circulate in various surgical specialties; act as Pt. Care Coordinator as requested.
