Job summary

The Operating Room Nurse at UCI Health uses the nursing process to design, coordinate, and deliver patient care for operative procedures. May act as scrub or circulating nurse across multiple procedures, and serves as a role model to nursing students and new nurses on the unit.

You must float between all UCI Health locations as needed, with shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays; requires BSN and ability to scrub/circulate in most specialties.

Qualifications

• Six months of recent nursing experience in an acute-care perioperative environment.
• BSN is required for external candidates.
• Ability to scrub and circulate in most surgical specialties.

Responsibilities

• Design, coordinate, and deliver patient care for operative procedures.
• Act as scrub or circulating nurse in various procedures.
• Serve as a role model to nursing students and new nurses on the unit.
