Job summary

The Surgery Center of the Merrimack Valley in North Chelmsford, MA seeks a per diem Registered Nurse to provide general nursing care and lead collaborative care with physicians and caregivers to promote patient health before, during, and after procedures.

You will perform peri-operative assessments, deliver compassionate support, follow established protocols, and help ensure patient safety in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

Qualifications

• Two years nursing education required for RN eligibility.
• Massachusetts nursing license in good standing required.
• BS Nursing preferred is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide general nursing care using the nursing process for peri-operative patients.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary caregivers to coordinate care.
• Assess patients and communicate plan of care to caregivers.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort by following protocols and policies.
• Assist with staffing, supply management, and department housekeeping to ensure a clean, safe work environment.
