S Shields Health Surgery Center of the Merrimack Valley in North Chelmsford, MA, is seeking Pre/Post RN candidates for a per diem, Monday–Friday daytime schedule. The role involves direct and indirect nursing care, coordinating perioperative plans, and collaborating with physicians and the health-care team.

You will promote a family-centered, safe, and efficient patient experience, adhering to policies and best practices. Pay ranges noted: $48–$66/hr plus benefits; Massachusetts license required.

Formación

• Two years education at an accredited School of Nursing to be eligible for RN licensure.
• Minimum of one year in Ambulatory Surgery, Outpatient Surgery, or OR nursing.
• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider (BLS) certification.
• ACLS within one year of hire.
• PALS certification preferred or within six months of request.
• Massachusetts nursing license in good standing.

Responsabilidades

• Promote and maintain a positive organizational culture as a leading place to work and receive care.
• Participate in staff meetings, in-services, and required educational activities.
• Communicate effectively with caregivers; build rapport; participate in team problem solving.
• Provide care to patients using the nursing process to support peri-operative experiences.
• Keep patients and families informed about progress and delays; support emotional needs.
• Perform peri-operative assessments and ensure patient safety and comfort using approved protocols.
• Document and communicate patient plan of care to the care team.
• Delegate tasks to appropriate staff; ensure supplies and equipment are available.
• Cross-train or float to assist as needed; adapt to staffing needs.
• Support a clean and safe environment and proper infection control practices.
