Job summary

Poway Healthcare Center is seeking a per diem Occupational Therapist. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy; Masters or Doctorate preferred.
• Licensed Occupational Therapist in the state.
• Experience with Casamba and Point Click Care.
• Ability to read and comprehend policy and procedure manuals.
• Strong communication with managers, coworkers and families.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients within 24 hours of referral.
• Develop and obtain approval for treatment plans.
• Treat patients per physician plan.
• Supervise OT Assistants and support staff.
• Communicate progress with supervisor and health team.
• Record evaluations and treatment notes in medical records.
• Instruct families and nursing staff for discharge preparation.
• Participate in discharge planning and care conferences.
