Job summary

Poway Healthcare Center in Poway, CA is seeking a Staff Occupational Therapy Assistant to support the Occupational Therapist with patient care, treatment planning, and direct therapy activities.

You will document daily treatment notes and weekly progress, follow physician plans, assist with training of staff, and communicate patient progress to the supervisor and care team; licensure as an OTA is required, and proficiency with Casamba and Point Click Care is preferred.

Qualifications

• Active license as Staff Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Proficient with OT documentation and care plans.
• Ability to read and follow technical procedures.
• Excellent communication with team and families.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients per the Occupational Therapist's plan.
• Record daily treatment notes and weekly progress notes.
• Communicate with supervisor and health team about progress and plans.
• Participate in in-services training for staff.
• Instruct families and nursing staff in maintenance and discharge prep.
• Maintain treatment area and report equipment issues.
