Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking an Occupational Therapist Per Diem to evaluate and treat patients in their homes, promoting independence and safety. You will collaborate with patients, families and the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized plans in line with physician orders and agency policies.

The role emphasizes delivering comprehensive OT services in home health settings, with responsibilities spanning assessment, documentation and supervision of aides as needed.

Qualifications

• ACOTE-accredited OT program completion.
• Eligible to take NBCOT certification exam.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide OT services in patients' homes under physician-approved plan of care.
• Ensure the plan of care addresses identified problems or documents rationale if not addressed.
• Ensure safety and effectiveness of OT service delivery.
• Complete documentation timely and accurately.
• Supervise home health aide when RN is not active in the case.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
