Job summary

Providence St. Joseph Hospital Eureka is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for per diem 8-hour day shifts.

The role involves performing radionuclide-based diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under the supervision of the department leadership, with collaboration across physicians and radiology teams in a fast-paced setting. Minimum qualifications include graduate study in nuclear medicine technology and national or state certifications, with preferred hospital-based experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a program in nuclear medicine technology approved by the Committee on Allied Health Education & Accreditation of the American Medical Association.
• National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board or
• National Registered Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology
• California Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic radionuclide-based procedures according to department and regulatory standards.
• Serve as a customer service representative to patients, their families, the public, and the medical staff.
• Participate in quality control and organizational improvement activities.
• Participate in call schedule to meet staffing needs of the department.

Education
