Job summary

Shields Health is seeking a per diem Physician Assistant to support our MRI services at our Massachusetts locations in Brighton, Dedham, Framingham, Brockton, and North Dartmouth. The PA will collaborate with supervising radiologists, MRI technologists, and the clinical team to provide safe, high-quality patient care during MRI diagnostic procedures.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts PA licensure required.
• Graduation from an accredited PA program.
• Active NCCPA certification.
• Current MA Physician Assistant license.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred or required per policy.
• Experience performing arthrograms and image-guided procedures is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs arthrograms and associated image-guided procedures within the PA's approved scope of practice.
• Administers contrast media and other medications as appropriate and in accordance with laws and Shields Health policies.
• Obtains and documents informed consent for procedures.
• Provides pre- and post-procedure assessment and education.
• Monitors patients before, during, and after procedures and responds to adverse events.
• Documents patient assessments, procedures, medications, and contrast administration in medical records.
• Travels between Shields MRI locations based on staffing and patient-care needs.
