Job summary

Shields Health is seeking a per diem Physician Assistant to support our MRI services at our Brighton, Dedham, Framingham, Brockton, and North Dartmouth, Massachusetts locations. The PA will collaborate with supervising radiologists, MRI technologists, and the clinical team to provide safe, high-quality patient care for MRI diagnostic services.

The role includes performing arthrograms, administering contrast, pre-/post-procedure care, informed consent, and site-specific credentialing.

Qualifications

  • Massachusetts PA licensure and NCCPA certification are required.
  • Experience with arthrograms and image-guided procedures is highly preferred.
  • Strong patient assessment, consent, and safety knowledge are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Perform arthrograms and image-guided procedures within scope and privileges.
  • Administer contrast media and medications per protocols and laws.
  • Obtain informed consent and provide pre-/post-procedure education.
  • Monitor patients during procedures and respond to adverse events.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and MRI technologists to address clinical needs.
  • Document assessments, procedures, medications, and results accurately.
  • Maintain infection, medication, contrast, radiation safety, and compliance standards.
  • Travel between Shields MRI locations as needed.
