Concentra, Inc is seeking a Medical Assistant PRN to join our Norfolk facility. You will perform DOT and non-DOT tests, prepare patients for examinations, and assist clinicians in a fast-paced environment while ensuring excellent patient care and accurate documentation.

The role supports front and back office duties, HIPAA compliance, and ongoing training, with a per diem schedule and wide-ranging responsibilities across clinical and clerical tasks.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program with externship preferred, or at least 1 year of direct patient care experience as a medical assistant.
• Knowledge of medical procedures and terminology.
• Working knowledge of occupational medicine requirements (state specific) preferred)

Responsabilités

• Perform DOT and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
• Prepare patients for examinations including vital signs and ancillary testing.
• Perform rapid screening tests (influenza, strep, glucose, etc.).
• Assist providers during examinations and treatment.
• Triage emergent patients and assist with procedures.
• Maintain supplies, rooms, and equipment; ensure clean, organized spaces.
