Job summary

Carson Valley Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for Outpatient Behavioral Health on a per diem basis. The role emphasizes patient-centered care, documentation, and efficient clinic flow.

Certification as a Medical Assistant and current BLS are required. Clinic experience and bilingual skills are preferred; the position involves assisting clinicians, taking vitals, and preparing exam rooms and equipment as needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold current Medical Assistant certification (AAMA/AMT/CCMA/NCMA or state-recognized).
• Current BLS Certification is required.
• Reading, writing, organizing and filing skills are necessary.
• Previous clinic experience is preferred.
• Bi-lingual abilities are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care with clinicians and maintain efficient flow of patients.
• Record vital signs and other pertinent data for physicians/providers.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare rooms and instruments.
• Obtain medical history including DOB, chief complaint, medications and allergies.
• Assist with minor diagnostic procedures and treatments.
