Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a per diem Medical Assistant II to support multiple specialty offices in Plymouth, MA. The role requires 1–3 years of MA experience, a Medical Assistant Certificate, and strong computer skills.

You will greet patients, collect information, take vitals, perform EKGs and injections, and assist providers across Cardiology, Surgery, Neurology and more. Per diem, day shift, emphasis on high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Certificate 1 Medical Assistant Certificate required.
• 1-3 years related work experience required.
• Experience with computer systems including web-based applications and some Microsoft Office applications (Outlook/Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Access).

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and serves as a communication resource. Asks questions and records info accurately.
• Obtains vitals, weight, blood pressure, pulse and temperature; performs EKGs, injections and/or phlebotomy.
• Assists with filing and organizing medical records; ensures proper patient identification in records.
• Manages lab slips, x-rays, and tests; assists providers and ensures availability of records.
• Procures medical records and handles requests for patient information according to policy.
