The position requires MA competencies within a year, basic computer skills and 0–1 year relevant experience. Reporting to the Practice Manager, this role emphasizes patient safety and efficient operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's in Health Science preferred.
• MA certificate, CNA certificate, EMT license or Phlebotomy certificate preferred.
• 0–1 years related work experience required.
• Demonstrated MA competencies within one year of hire.
• Basic computer proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Develops empathetic relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
• Facilitates visit flow and informs patient/provider of delays.
• Performs MA duties under supervision: vitals, EKGs, phlebotomy, immunizations.
• Document tasks in EHR for proper billing.
• Queue prescriptions and schedule tests and labs as directed.
