Job summary

ConvenientMD LLC is hiring a Per Diem Medical Assistant for our Primary Care team in Bangor, ME. The MA will support clinical operations, greet patients, take vital signs, obtain histories, and assist with minor procedures while maintaining accurate electronic health records.

The role requires medical assisting certification or 1–2 years of MA experience, BLS certification, and strong communication skills. Per diem hours align with clinic needs and patient care delivery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Medical Assisting certification with 1 year of experience or 2 years MA experience in primary care preferred.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association or Red Cross required (CPR not acceptable).
• Compassionate, authentic, patient-focused approach; strong communication and confidentiality.
• Proficiency with MS Office; ability to learn NextGen and other systems.

Responsibilities

• Engage with patients warmly, answer questions, explain medications and treatment plans.
• Triage patients, take vital signs, obtain histories, and assist with basic procedures.
• Administer medications under supervision in accordance with state regulations (where allowed).
• Document patient information in the EHR and maintain privacy compliance.
