Job summary

ConvenientMD in Waterville, Maine, seeks a Medical Assistant to join our Advanced Primary Care team. You will engage with patients, explain treatments and medications, and support triage and care coordination in a fast-paced clinic.

The role includes vital signs, history taking, phlebotomy, and assisting with procedures, while maintaining accurate EHRs and HIPAA compliance. We offer comprehensive benefits and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Medical Assisting certification with at least one year of experience or two years of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required; CPR/ACLS not accepted in lieu of BLS.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients and provide information about medications, treatments, and conditions.
• Perform basic clinical tasks: vital signs, medical histories, phlebotomy, minor procedures, and correct EHR documentation.
• Administer medications under supervision and in compliance with state regulations.
• Collaborate with the clinical team and assist with discharge planning and training of new staff.
