ConvenientMD in Bangor, Maine is seeking a Per Diem Medical Assistant to support our Advanced Primary Care (APC) model, blending in-person and virtual care to deliver high-quality, team-based primary care. You will interact with patients, take vital signs, assist with procedures, document in the EHR, and help with medication education under supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Medical Assisting certification with at least one (1) year of experience or two (2) years of experience working as a Medical Assistant, preferably in a primary care setting.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Demonstrated compassion, authenticity, and patient-focused approach.
• Proactive and confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills.

Responsibilities

• Engage with patients in a welcoming and professional manner and provide information regarding conditions, treatment plans, and medications.
• Take vital signs, obtain medical histories, assist with minor procedures, and help triage patient needs.
• Document patient information accurately in the EHR and ensure privacy compliance.
• Collaborate with clinicians to coordinate discharge plans and support the clinical team.
