Job summary

MaineHealth Accountable Care Organization is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) to join the Medical Group Practices in Biddeford, ME. The MA will provide patient care and administrative support under physician supervision to ensure smooth clinic flow.

Responsibilities include clinical tasks and documentation in a team-based setting. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and MA certification, with BLS either current or obtainable within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED preferred with clinical training options.
• Certification: Current MA certifications (AAMA/NHA/AMT/NCCT) required; BLS should be current or obtainable within 30 days.
• Experience: Six months as Medical Assistant or one year as MaineHealth Clinical Team Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care and administrative tasks in a team-based office workflow.
• Support efficient patient flow and collaborate with physicians and practitioners.
• Adhere to licensing, credentialing, and safety policies and ensure accurate documentation.

Education

High School diploma or GED

Medical Assisting program with 160 hours of clinical experience

Adult Education Medical Assistant program with 6 months clinical experience

1 year of clinical experience in a multi-provider practice setting
