Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician I to join our team in Massachusetts. The role supports nursing staff with daily patient care, observation, and essential procedures within a fast-paced hospital setting.

Under supervision, you will assist with vital signs, mobility, and comfort measures, while upholding safety protocols. A high school diploma or GED and BLS within 30 days are required; English communication and basic computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English clearly.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology helpful.

Responsibilities

• Provide clear, timely communication to the RN about patient observations.
• Maintain constant observation of high-risk patients as assigned.
• Assist with daily living activities and mobility.
• Record vital signs and measurements accurately.
• Support patient care procedures and safety practices per policy.
