Job summary

Planned Parenthood North Central States in Eden Prairie, MN seeks a Per diem Medical Assistant (MA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our reproductive health program. Under supervision of the Health Center Manager, the MA/LPN performs routine clinic duties, conducts patient history reviews, labs, and provides contraceptive supplies and education.

The role is per diem, 32 hours per month, with clinic hours Mon/Wed/Fri 8:00–4:00 and Tue/Thu 10:00–6:00 at 582 Prairie Center Drive, Eden

Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assisting diploma program or an Associate degree in Medical Assisting, or current EMT/Paramedic licensure, or 6+ months experience as a Health Center Associate II at PPNCS
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certificate for healthcare providers
• High School diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Interview and screen patients, document in electronic medical record, prepare patients for examinations/procedures.
• Perform routine laboratory tests including venipuncture and communicate results.
• Provide patient education and contraceptive information in consultation with clinicians.
• Maintain inventory and assist clinicians during procedures as needed.
• Follow HIPAA, reporting laws, and clinic policies while delivering compassionate care.
