Job summary

Planned Parenthood North Central States in Brooklyn Park, MN, invites applications for a Per Diem Medical Assistant (MA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). The position is part-time, on-site with 32 hours per month and hourly pay ranging from $20 to $28 depending on role and experience.

Work hours align with clinic schedules and union participation is noted. The MA/LPN will support patient intake, labs, contraceptive services, and education, while assisting clinicians and managing clinic

Qualifications

• Completion of MA diploma or Associate degree, or EMT/Paramedic licensure, or 6+ months experience as Health Center Associate II at PPNCS.
• Current BLS certificate for healthcare providers.
• Active High School diploma or equivalent.
• Active Minnesota LPN license for LPN candidates.

Responsibilities

• Interview and screen patients, document in the EMR, and prepare for examinations.
• Perform routine labs including venipuncture and communicate results.
• Provide unbiased contraceptive information and education on methods.
• Assist clinicians and supervise nursing tasks as needed.
• Maintain inventory and supply management for the clinic.

Education

Medical Assisting diploma or Associate degree or current EMT/Paramedic licensure or 6+ months experience as Health Center Associate II at PPNCS

Active Minnesota LPN License

Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certificate for healthcare providers

High School diploma or equivalent
