Job summary

Planned Parenthood North Central States in Mankato, MN is seeking a Per Diem Medical Assistant (MA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support our reproductive health program. Under supervision of the Health Center Manager, you will perform routine clinic duties, take patient histories, and assist clinicians during exams and procedures.

The position is hourly/non-exempt, per diem (32 hours/month) with clinic hours Monday, Wednesday, Friday 9:00-5:00 and Tue/Thu 10:00-6:00.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assisting diploma program or an associate degree in Medical Assisting.
• Active BLS (Basic Life Support) certification for healthcare providers.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Interview and screen patients, review history, and document in EMR.
• Perform venipuncture and routine lab tests; relay results and follow up.
• Provide contraceptive information and unbiased client education.
• Assist clinicians during examinations and procedures; monitor patient safety.
• Maintain clinic inventory and adhere to PPNCS protocols and policies.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and proper documentation of care plans.
