Job summary

Planned Parenthood North Central States in St. Cloud, MN is seeking a Per Diem Medical Assistant (MA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for our health center. The role is per diem, 32 hours per month, with schedules Mon-Thu 9:00-5:00 and Fri 8:00-4:00.

Pay ranges $20-$25 for MA and $24-$28 for LPN, depending on experience. The position supports reproductive health services, computer-based charting, labs, contraception provision, and patient education under supervision.

Qualifications

• Medical Assisting diploma program or an Associate degree in Medical Assisting.
• Current EMT/Paramedic licensure or 6+ months experience as Health Center Associate II at PPNCS.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certificate for healthcare providers.
• High School diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Interview and screen patients, conduct patient history review, document in electronic medical record, prepare patients for examinations/procedures.
• Assess, address or triage patient complaints. Monitor patient vital signs.
• Perform routine laboratory tests including venipuncture. Communicate lab test results. Ensure follow-up of lab reports.

Education

Medical Assisting diploma program

Associate degree in Medical Assisting

EMT/Paramedic licensure

6+ months experience as Health Center Associate II at PPNCS

Active LPN License in Minnesota

Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certificate

High School diploma or equivalent
