Job summary

Planned Parenthood North Central States is seeking a Per diem Medical Assistant (MA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for its Little Canada, MN clinic. The role includes patient history reviews, lab processing, contraceptive supplies, and education. Per diem schedule is 32 hours per month with clinic hours Mon–Thu 9:30–6, Fri 9:30–5.

Must have MA diploma/AS degree or LPN license and BLS. The position offers per diem hourly pay: MA $20–$25/hr; LPN $24–$28/hr, plus benefits like PTO, ESST, and

Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assisting diploma program or an Associate degree in Medical Assisting, or current EMT/Paramedic licensure, or 6+ months experience as a Health Center Associate II at PPNCS.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certificate for healthcare providers.
• High School diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Interview and screen patients, review history, document in EMR, prepare for examinations.
• Perform routine laboratory tests including venipuncture and communicate results.
• Provide unbiased education on birth control methods and options.
• Assist clinicians, manage inventory, and support health center operations.
