Job summary

Belmont Village Senior Living is seeking a dependable Line Cook to cover 2–3 shifts per week, including weekends, in our restaurant-style dining program. You will prepare made-from-scratch meals for residents and guests in a professional kitchen, following recipes, quality standards and safety guidelines.

The role emphasizes teamwork, fast-paced service, and attention to hospitality, knife skills, and consistent plating. Previous high-volume line cook experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Professional, pleasant and team oriented attitude.
• Must be able to communicate clearly in verbal and written English.
• Minimum of 6 months Line Cook experience in a high volume restaurant setting.
• Proven success with basic to intermediate culinary skills such as knife handling, accurate measurements and cooking methods.
• Ability to work assigned shifts including early morning, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Consistent and reliable attendance is essential for all Belmont Village employees to ensure the successful operation of the community.
• Offers of employment are contingent upon completion of applicable post-offer pre-employment screenings, which may include a job-related background check, drug screening, physical examination, and TB testing, consistent with applicable laws.

Responsibilities

• Prepare made-from-scratch dishes according to Belmont Village recipes, specifications and quality standards.
• Execute an extensive made-to-order, restaurant-style menu, efficiently preparing multiple orders while managing cook times and maintaining consistency.
• Follow recipes and established standards for portioning, preparation and plate presentation.
• Execute Chef-created menus for special events and dining experiences, maintaining established standards for quality and presentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized and well-stocked kitchen while following food safety regulations, sanitation standards, checklists and company procedures.
• Make hospitality, quality and resident satisfaction a priority in every meal and dining experience.
