Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a per diem Certified Surgical Technician in our Fairfield, CT center. The role supports interventional procedures, maintains the procedure room, stocks supplies, and assists with patient preparation and positioning under physician direction.

The successful candidate will have a High School Diploma, CST certification, 1-2 years of relevant experience, and BLS. This is a per diem position at our Azura outpatient vascular center, open weekdays with opportunities to

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Surgical Technologist Certification required by state regulation.
• 1-2 years of related experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintenance and setup of the procedure room in compliance with policies and regulations.
• Stock procedure room and trays with supplies and interventional equipment.
• Clean procedure room and equipment post-procedure.
• Assist with patient preparation and positioning for procedures.
• Perform scrub and circulating duties under physician during interventional procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications within scope and state regulations.
• Transfer and position patients and transport to/from the procedure room.
• Maintain sterile technique and HIPAA compliance.
• Assist with instrument sterilization and packaging as needed.
• Maintain equipment and report issues to supervisor.
