Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care Reno, NV is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for per diem support in the interventional suite. The role includes scrub and circulating duties, assisting with patient prep, instrument handling, and maintaining sterile technique throughout procedures.

Responsibilities also cover room setup, supply stocking, medication preparation, and patient transfers, all while adhering to HIPAA and CQI quality standards. Experience with C-Arm and ultrasound equipment is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Surgical Technologist Certification required by state.
• All appropriate state licensure or certification education and training (if any) required.
• 1–2 years related experience preferred.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setting up and maintaining the procedure room in compliance with policies and regulations.
• Stock procedure rooms and trays with all needed supplies and equipment prior to procedures.
• Assist with preparing the patient for procedures by positioning, prepping, and shaving as needed.
• Perform scrub and circulating duties during interventional procedures under fluoroscopy; maintain sterile technique.
• Prepare and administer medications within scope of practice and state regulations.
• Assist with patient transfers and transport to and from the procedure room.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and safe, sanitary care practices.
• Assist with instrument sterilization and packaging of surgical instruments.
