Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to support interventional procedures in our Great Neck, NY facility. You will assist with room setup, stocking supplies, and maintaining sterile technique throughout procedures.

Responsibilities include patient positioning, assisting physicians during procedures, and ensuring accurate documentation. Prior experience with C-Arm and ultrasound equipment is preferred; BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and surgical technologist certification required or equivalent.
• Experience with interventional radiology procedures preferred.
• Knowledge of sterile techniques and infection control practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation and setup of the procedure room in compliance with policies.
• Stock procedure room and trays with supplies and interventional equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of the procedure room and equipment post-procedure.
• Assist with patient positioning and preparation for procedures as directed.
• Support physicians during interventional procedures under sterile technique.
• Handle medication preparation and labeling within scope of practice and regulations.
• Ensure patient transfers and transport to and from the procedure room.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and accurate medical records and logs.
