Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care Fairfield, CT is seeking a per diem Certified Surgical Tech to join our ambulatory vascular center. You will scrub and circulate during interventional procedures, preparing the room, assisting the physician, and ensuring sterile technique and patient safety.

Under supervision of the Facility Manager or Chief Radiology Technologist, you’ll stock and organize supplies, maintain equipment, and support regulatory and CQI initiatives while delivering compassionate patient care

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Surgical Technologist certification as required by state regulation.
• 1–2 years of related experience; prior patient care preferred.
• Knowledge of sterile techniques and universal precautions.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience with C-Arm and interventional equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation and setup of the interventional procedure room.
• Stock supplies and maintain sterile technique during procedures.
• Assist physicians during interventional procedures under fluoroscopy.
• Position and prep patients for surgical procedures.
• Maintain medical records and comply with HIPAA.
• Perform circulating duties and patient transfers as needed.
