Qualifications

• Essential: Program Graduate

• Essential: Nationally Accredited Nursing Graduate

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe direct care to an assigned group of patients.
• Follow hospital and department policies.
• Develop and document individualized care plans including discharge planning.
• Assist with tests and procedures and obtain proper consent.
• Participate in orientation and precept new staff.
• Provide emergency measures as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Triage calls and answer telephones per policy.
• Administer medications, including IVs, per the Seven Rights.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic patient environment.
• Pursue professional development through education and in-services.
• Uphold patient safety policies and report concerns.
• Encourage patient participation in care.
• Support Patient Centered Medical Home principles.
