Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a per diem CNA Hospice Aide in Columbia, SC to provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients at end of life. You will support daily living activities, promote comfort and dignity, and assist families under the hospice care plan.

Key duties include personal care, safe transfers, meal assistance, light housekeeping, documenting changes, following nurse instructions, helping with prescribed exercises, and performing simple urine tests as directed.

Qualifications

• Current state CNA certification/registration as per state requirements.
• CPR certification current and valid.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care to patients.
• Uses safety principles and body mechanics for transfers, ambulation, positioning.
• Plans and prepares nutritious meals and assists with feeding.
• Performs homemaking and environmental tasks as assigned.
• Observes and reports changes in patient status to the nurse.
• Follows written instructions from the nurse for care.
• Assists patients with prescribed exercises as directed.
• Performs simple urine tests as directed.
• Other duties as assigned.
