Job summary

Caretenders Home Health, part of the LHC Group and UnitedHealth Group family, seeks an Occupational Therapy Assistant - Per Diem to provide in-home therapy and restore patients to their fullest physical ability.

The role involves following the plan of care per supervising OT, educating patients and families, and documenting responses to treatment. A per diem schedule supports flexible hours with strong patient impact.

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure in state of practice.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.

Responsibilities

• Follow state-specific laws and the plan of care as defined by the supervising OT.
• Instruct and assist patients in evidence-based therapy within the scope of the OT assistant and according to state laws.
• Observe, record, and report to the nurse supervisor and physician the patient's response to treatment and changes to the patient's condition.
• Instruct patient, family, caregiver, and other health care team members in therapies within the OT assistant scope.
• Provide care in any home setting regardless of client background.
