Job summary

UnitedHealth Group's Caretenders Home Health (LHC Group) seeks an Occupational Therapist Assistant - Per Diem to provide in-home OT services, following the plan of care and supervising OT guidance to restore patients' function.

Requires current OTA licensure in state of practice, valid driver license or reliable transportation, and NBOT certification; CPR preferred within 90 days. Compensation includes per-visit and hourly pay with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure in state of practice.
• Current driver's license and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
• Must be certified and in good standing with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws and the plan of care defined by the supervising OT.
• Instruct patients and families in evidence-based OT activities.
• Observe, record, and report patient responses to treatment to the nurse supervisor and physician.
• Educate patient, family, caregiver, and health-team about therapy within OTA scope.
• Function in diverse home settings regardless of client background.
