Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking a Per Diem-Clinical Laboratory Technologist to join our team. In this role, you will perform routine and complex laboratory procedures, process specimens, calculate and report results, and maintain quality control under supervision of senior staff.

Requirements include NYSDOH licensure as a Certified Clinical Laboratory Technologist, a bachelor’s degree inClinical Laboratory Technology or related science, and at least one year of clinical lab experience.

Qualifications

• One year clinical laboratory experience or completion of internship.
• NYSDOH-licensed as a Certified Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex laboratory procedures including specimen processing and testing.
• Record and report results, review critical values, and ensure accuracy of data.
• Maintain quality control, instrument maintenance, and calibration.
• Troubleshoot instrument issues and follow protocols for invalid results.
• Train new staff and residents as directed by senior technologists.
• Manage supplies and update logs as needed.
