Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital-Long Island, a 591-bed university-affiliated medical center, invites applications for a Per Diem Clinical Laboratory Technologist. You will perform routine and complex laboratory procedures, process specimens, report results, and participate in quality control and instrument maintenance.

This position includes training of new technologists/residents, supporting patient care, and collaborating with medical staff in a fast-paced, academically oriented environment.

Qualifications

• NYSDOH Licensed as a Certified Clinical Laboratory Technologist
• Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Technology or in biology/chemistry/physical sciences from an accredited program
• One year experience in a clinical laboratory or internship at a qualified institution

Responsibilities

• Performs laboratory tests and procedures.
• Follows approved policies for recording and reporting results.
• Maintains quality control and instrument calibration.
