Job summary

UCI Health in Irvine, CA is seeking a GI/Endoscopy Technician to provide basic medical, technical and administrative support in the endoscopy area, including processing endoscopes and assisting with routine procedures.

You will assist front office tasks, obtain patient data and vital signs, support room setup and cleaning, ensure infection control standards, and help maintain accurate records and documentation.

Qualifications

• Understanding of medical terminology.
• Medical Assistant Diploma or Certificate or equivalent.
• Current BLS certification.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a changing environment.
• English reading/writing/comms.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and assist with endoscope towers and recording systems.
• Assist in emergency situations and transport patients.
• Collect specimens and document patient data accurately.
• Assist with procedure room setup and cleaning.
• Perform diagnostic tests and prepare patients for visits as required.
