Job summary

Sharp HealthCare in San Diego, CA is seeking an Endoscopy Technician per diem/PRN to support endoscopic procedures under supervision. You will assist patients, staff, and physicians and ensure efficient room turnover while maintaining accurate documentation and equipment readiness.

Responsibilities include maintaining infection control, patient data entry, and coordinating with the gastroenterology team to deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced setting. Shift hours are variable, as needed.

Qualifications

• 1 Year Medical Assistant experience in related clinical area.
• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - REQUIRED

Responsibilities

• Assist with endoscopy procedures under supervision of RN and Gastroenterologist.
• Maintain patient data and documentation for proper record keeping.
• Support equipment, supplies, and department resources to optimize workflow.
• Manage telephone messages and scheduling to ensure timely patient care.
• Prepare patients for examinations or procedures and assist during procedures.
