Job summary

UCI Health is seeking an experienced GI/Endoscopy Technician to support basic medical, technical and administrative tasks in the endoscopy suite. You will process endoscopes and related equipment, assist with procedures, and support front office operations by handling records and patient files.

Strong customer service and English communication skills are essential. Minimum 3 years in a hospital GI/endoscopy setting with Medical Assistant credentials and current BLS certification are required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate endoscope towers and imaging systems and document procedures.
• Assist with front office operations: calls, records, reports, patient files.
• Provide standby technical assistance for routine endoscopic procedures.
• Assist nurses in setting up and cleaning procedure rooms; ensure equipment readiness.
• Perform diagnostic tests and prepare patients for visits; record vital signs; follow universal precautions.
