Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) is seeking a per diem Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line emergency team. You will manage triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing alongside our doctors and VEG team in a fast-paced setting.

You will work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed, delivering high-quality, compassionate care to pets and their families while expanding your skills in a supportive, mentorship-rich environment.

Qualifications

• Must have an AVMA-accredited associate degree or higher in veterinary technology.
• Credentialed as a veterinary technician (CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT) in the state of VEG practice.
• 1+ year experience in veterinary technician role; emergency or specialty medicine preferred.
• Excellent communicator who remains calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care, treatments, and emotional support in critical moments.
• Perform triage, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing.
• Assist with diagnostics, imaging, IVs, CRIs, transfusions, and therapies.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to maintain smooth care flow.
• Engage in CPR and other advanced techniques as trained.
