Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) in Henderson, NV is seeking a per diem Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line emergency team. You will work with doctors and staff to deliver empathetic, high-quality care for pets and their families, across triage, treatments, anesthesia, and critical care.

You will perform a range of duties from IVs and CRIs to monitoring, imaging, and sample collection, while maintaining composure in stressful moments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; AVMA-accredited program strongly preferred.
• Credentialed veterinary technician in the state VEG practice is located.
• 1+ year experience as a veterinary technician; emergency or specialty medicine preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care, triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing.
• Perform CPR and support veterinarians during emergencies.
• Handle diagnostics and imaging, sample collection, and tubing placements.
• Maintain clear communication with team to ensure smooth patient flow and care.
